General description of the service

Operation of the online shop at www.lhs-lagertechnik.de: sale of new and used pallet racking, storage equipment and accessories, and handling of enquiries about these goods.

How the service works

At www.lhs-lagertechnik.de we present our range of racking, storage equipment and accessories. You can browse the catalogue by category using the navigation and narrow the results by manufacturer and by technical characteristics such as height, number of pallet positions and load capacities. Every article comes with a description, its technical data and photographs.

Articles in stock can be ordered directly through the basket. After ordering you receive a confirmation with an order number; we then check the order and contact you if anything needs clarifying. Articles that are not in stock can be requested through the enquiry form. Delivery is within Germany, either by freight forwarder or by collection from our warehouse.

The website is available in German and in English; the language can be switched in the page header. For questions you can reach us by telephone and by e-mail; the contact details are given on the contact page and in the site notice.

State of compliance with the requirements

We are committed to digital accessibility and aim to make this website usable without restriction by everyone. We are therefore working continuously towards full compliance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and its implementing regulation (BFSGV).

Our website implements the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG):

We last tested the accessibility of this website on 30 August 2026. Testing was carried out automatically with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 success criteria at levels A and AA, supplemented by our own calculation of colour contrasts on the delivered markup. The test covered the home page, the shop overview, a product page, the contact page, the basket, the checkout and the site notice, in both the German and the English version. The automated test found no violations on any page tested.

Specifically, we have taken the following measures:

Language markup: every page declares its language (German or English) so that screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Structure and regions: every page has exactly one main heading and an unbroken heading order. Main content, navigation and footer are marked up as distinct regions. A skip link at the top of each page leads directly to the main content.

Keyboard operation: controls show a clearly visible focus indicator when operated by keyboard. Hidden regions such as the mini basket drawer are also removed from the tab order, so that keyboard focus cannot move into areas that are not visible.

Forms: every input field in the contact form and throughout the ordering process is associated with its label, so that screen readers announce it.

Images and embedded content: all images carry an alternative text; purely decorative images are marked as such and are skipped. Embedded content such as the location map carries a title.

Colour contrast: contrasts are calculated, not estimated. Body text reaches at least 4.5:1 and large text at least 3:1. For text placed over images, the contrast was measured pixel by pixel against the actual image.

Links: links within blocks of text are distinguishable by an underline in addition to colour, so that they can be recognised as links without perceiving colour.

Zoom: the page can be enlarged; there is no restriction on zooming.

Limits of this assessment: an automated test can only cover part of the requirements. Testing with assistive technology by people with disabilities, and a full assessment of keyboard-only operation, are still outstanding. We are continuing this work and will make corrections as issues become known to us.
